From digging trenches by hand..
..keeping it all straight and steady..
..building foundations for the future.
Truckloads of building materials arrived in pouring rain..
..and slowly but surely a structure emerged.
When the sun came out, it almost didn’t feel like work..
..but a broken delivery of bricks, promptly reminded us, it is.
Shortly after starting; a tall, firm structure was standing..
..which just needed some finer touches..
..such as creating walkways.
Next it was onto planting coco yams and other cover crops..
..while a beautiful plantain sapling grows..
..and the farm develops into a green and lush home for our snails.
With the coming of the rains, it was time to pick snails..
..and picking we did.
The first set of snails are settling in their new home..
..while we worked on completing the factory house.
Ready, steady, here we go (flow)..
..well, the only thing flowing is water for the local community..
